Too many pictures

I'm still pretty tired, but we made it back to Rome this afternoon.  It feels good to be home.  Between not being able to take pictures at most sites and being overwhelmed, this is a poorly documented trip.

Nutella Iced Tea Unit
We were a few blocks away from Santa Maria del Fiori.  We did not climb to the top of the duoma unfortunately.
  I was there

Friends at Uffizi!  One of the highlights was having a headset for transmitting Ricardo
to our ears.

Gnocchi with Gorgonzola for lunch...

... while we got out of this random storm.  I've seen nothing like this in Seattle.  This was at the Brancacci chapel...
...where we saw these frescoes, the ones to the back were painted by Masaccio.  They illustrate stories of St. Peter.
Statue of Dante (grace ann) he lived here and we saw his church!
 Organs of Rome

Michelangelo's memorial in Santa Croce.

Dante's memorial (grace ann) photographs very well.

Street outside the Uffizi

Santa Croce ceiling

Tower of Pisa!
 I was there!

My friends climbing the stairs!

Sahrish on top of the tower!

Santa Maria Assunti cathedral.  We were able to enter

Ricardo in front of "ricardvs'" (a builder) inscription.  We all love Ricardo.
 The baptistery at Pisa.
 Inside the Pisa cathedral
 Inside the Baptistery

We couldn't take pictures inside the Uffizi, but here's the bathrooms.  Very nice.
Here's the ravioli with nut sauce.

Eggplant parmesan.  I ingested maybe 10 ounces of Parmesan between 2 days of having it.

Dinner at Teatro Zin Zin.   Wonderful evening, improved by Ricardo the spokesperson for the UW Norm (Mona's husband).  Hilarious.

Apple cake with mascarpone
 Actual Zubin Mehta concert.

 Masaccio's Holy trinity is here.
