So yesterday the test went well, and then Sahrish and I went to Giolitti, which is maybe the best gelato I've had. To illustrate, the nutella gelato I had is just cold nutella. We think. Today we took a trip to Sarco Bosco di Bomarzo and Villa Lante at Bagnaia. The first is the sacred forest of monsters, which was a Renaissance exploration of the grotesque and riddles.
Sphinx with (kind of) a riddle!

Pegasus, who is apparently on top of fountains often because he was so delighted that the 9 muses won a music competition that he stomped and opened some underground springs.
Turtle!
Whale
Leaning house.

(starbucks) Siren with Cerberus (fluffy).
Bears!
More Cerberus
Temple of Wisdom with Ricardo emerging
I was there!
Fresco map of the Lante residence. We walked around in their gardens...

Renaissance people hadn't seen dolphins, but they often sculpted/painted them anyways.

We miss you too Ellen! The escaped pit bull dog is still not found so I took Breeze for a walk around the Sylvester track. She loved being back on the track! Have you read the New Yorker article on learning to draw?
